Blooms are ovoid with cuspidate apex, have pink-tingled colour when they are about to unfurl. Flowers have an average open size of 6-9 cm (2.25"-3") in diameter. Borne often several together in the small or large clusters of up to 8-15 flowers. They are full, the number of petals under normal conditions varies from 26 to 40.

The upper side of the petals is white with yellow undertones. The reverse side of the petals is same as above except for a very slight pink blush at the center of the outer petals. The color of the base of the petals is pale yellow at the apex. The major color on the upper side is light yellow. The general tonality at the end of the first day slightly paler. At the end of the third day, the majority of petals are white at the top edge changing to pale yellow towards the center of the flower. Petals have thin, soft and silky texture; they drop off cleanly before drying. The flowers last on the plant about 5 to 7 days. In heat they last much less of course. They have a strong Green Tea fragrance with aspects of lemon and honey.

It forms an upright, rounded shrub, branches are neat and almost never bow down. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. New leaves have moderate green colour turning a bit darker as the leaves age.

Named for the artist, designer and founder member of the Bloomsbury Group – sister of the writer, Virginia Woolf.
