Description
‘Belvedere’ is a very delightful variety! Particularly suitable for planting in small groups. The flowers are orange-peach, very large, about 10-12 cm in diameter, very full, do not fade for a long time, form a striking contrast with the dark green, highly glossy leaves. Even in strong sunlight, the color of the flowers remains stable. A very vigorous and strong bush. The first flush is profuse, while the second flush is less abundant. Has wonderful, strong aroma, spicy.
Name origin
Belvedere is a historic building complex in Vienna, Austria, consisting of two baroque palaces (the Upper and Lower Belvedere), the Orangery, and the Palace Stables. Buildings in the landscape style of Baroque parks are in the third district of the city, on the southeastern edge of its center. The Belvedere Museum is located here. The grounds are located on a gentle slope and include decorative multi-tiered fountains and cascades, baroque sculptures and majestic wrought iron gates. It was built as a summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy.
In the UK is sold by Rosen-Tantau/Tantau Roses as large flowered hybrid tea rose under the name ‘Rick Stein’.
