Description

'Starlet Rose Elida' is a breathtaking mini climber that truly steals the spotlight. Blooms in clusters of ruffled yellow flowers in a refreshing lemon shade with a touch of green. The foliage is medium sized, deep green and glossy. The plant consistently produces new growth and blooms. Notably, 'Starlet Rose Elida' stands out as the tallest among the mini climbers in its group. With each new leaf and bloom, this beauty continues to unfold its magical allure, creating an ever-enchanting display.

This variety is constantly producing new growth and flowers starting from early summer and until colds.

Small buds open into a medium sized, full flower, of about 4 – 6 cm, having a cupped rosette shape, gathered in small clusters. Flowers tend to fully open towards the end of flowering, revealing bright blush orange filaments.

Petals are medium sized, having irregular shape, with ruffled, pointed edges. The colour of the petals is lemon-yellow, sometimes having greenish undertones at the beginning. The colours fade to light yellow towards the end of the flowering. Petals drop off cleanly from the plant.

Has a tendency to produce hips, therefore for prolonged and profuse flowering it is highly recommended regularly prune faded flowers.

Forms upright, bushy and very thorny plant with climbing habit. Foliage is abundant, dense, and healthy. Leaves are medium sized, dark green and glossy, contrasting well with its bright yellow flowers.

The variety showed good winter hardiness in USDA zones 6 and warmer, in colder climates requires winter protection.
