Description

One of the best representatives of the white Moss roses. It has a wonderful pointed buds wrapped in dark brown thick aromatic foam - they are covered with moss (small fragrant villi). Dark brown with a shade of burgundy moss and prickles beautifully contrasts with snow-white petals of this rose. Buds open to medium size (6-7 cm) full fragrant flowers, reminiscent of camellias with a button in the center. The colour of the petals varies from pure white to creamy white sometimes barely touched with pink strokes in the center of the flowers. Its full flowers (26-40 petals) are cup-shaped when just opened, later become flat, have a lovely sweet Old rose fragrance; they are born in small clusters.

The foliage has rich emerald colour decorating a slender pickled plant with the height of about 120 - 185 cm, and width of 90 - 100 cm.

Once flowering rose which blooms late in the spring or early in summer, sometimes occasionally repeats the flowering in autumn.

The flowers are not resistant to rain, but the variety needs good watering and mulching during the hot summers.

May suffer from powdery mildew in humid climates. It needs disease preventive spraying with fungicides and good care to keep it healthy and decorative.

Winter hardy in climates similar to USDA zone 6b–9b.

Can be used for cutting or for planting in mixed borders in the garden.

Tolerant to partial shade. Is not picky about soils.
