Description

Very healthy and resistant deep pink mutations of ‘Piano’ rose. Flowers have the same nostalgic flowers as a parent variety but of a rich pink – raspberry colour. Their shape starts off as globular, deep cupped, before turning flat at the top by the end of flowering and have the same signature twist in the center of the flowers. The rose tends to reflect the light slightly which gives an interesting effect of strawberry and cream shades.

Has attractive upright, compact growth habit, covered densely with dark-green, glossy and healthy foliage. Fowers last for very long time both on a plant and as a cut flower.

Fragrance:
Unlike the other ‘Piano’ roses with no scent this one has a light raspberry fragrance.

PLANT
Forms upright, slightly outwardy bush. The growth strength is medium. Mature plant’s height is about 100 - 130 cm and the width is about 50 - 80 cm.

Disease resistance:
‘Pink Piano’ showed good winter hardiness in USDA zones 6 to 9, in colder climates requires protection from frosts in winter.

It showed good resistance to powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca pannosa), rust (P. disciflorum), blackspot (Diplocarpon rosae), and botrytis (Botrytis cinerea) under normal growing conditions.
