Description

One of the most popular Moss roses of the past. The mossy buds of this rose open into flat deep pink rosette shaped flowers with red undertones. The colour is changing to purple with age. The fragrance is strong, with prominent Old Rose charm.

Forms bushy and upright medium sized shrub, when mature can reach of about 120 cm (4') in height and 90 cm (3') in width. This variety has vigorous growing habit, a shortish grower, especially in its first years. The foliage is coarse, dark green and deeply veined. The stems are adorned with stumpy prickles and darkish green moss.

The rose variety 'Pélisson' is olerant to poor soils and grows well in own roots. Also due to its compact growth is suitable for growing in pots.

The resistance to main rose pathogens is good, somewhat prone to mildew.
