Description
A modern variety of Moss rose from Reimer Kordes. Medium green buds quite densely covered with moss open into medium to large deep red flowers that fade to more pinkish shades. This beautiful rose has a medium to strong fragrance which adorn a vigorous plant. Forms medium sized plant of about 100 - 120 cm tall.
The young stems of this variety are quite densely covered with prickles of a bright purple-red colour.
The rose variety 'Parkzauber' is slightly prone to black spot in colder and dump climates.
The winter hardiness is good, it can be grown in climate zones similar to USDA 4 and warmer.

ORIGIN OF THE VARIETY
The rose variety ‘Parkzauber’ was bred by cross pollination of two distinctive rose varieties by Reimer Kordes and derived as follows:
Female parent (seed parent) - is Floribunda rose variety “Kordes' Sondermeldung” by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II, 1951;
Male parent (pollen parent) is Moss rosby e ‘Nuits de Young’ by Jean Laffay, 1845.
