DESCRIPTION OF THE NEW VARIETY
The chart used in the identification of the colors is that of The Royal Horticultural Society (R.H.S. Colour Chart—2001). The description is based on the observation of plants grafted on Rosa multiflora understock while growing outdoors in central France, at Malicorne, France.
FLOWER
Blooms abundantly in flushes throughout the season, almost continuously, starting from late spring or early summer, and until the frosts. This variety starts to flower quite early in the season.
Flower bud:
Th flower buds of ‘La Rose de Molinard’ have an ovate shape in longitudinal section just before the opening of the sepals. The bud length is about 25 to 30 mm before calyx breaks, with an average length of approximately 26 mm, and the bud diameter of about 40 mm just before the opening of the petals. Color as calyx breaks red (Group 53B). Just after the calyx breaks the bud length is about 35 to 40 mm, with an average length of approximately 37 mm. The colour after calyx breaks changes to medium purple red (Group 54A). They appear several together in a small clusters of three per stem or singular.
Peduncle is erect, stiff, has light green colour (Group 144B) with some dark brown purple undertones (Group 183C). The length is approximately 8.5 to 11.5 cm in length, and average length is about 10 cm, and the average diameter is about 5 mm.
The number of sepals is 5, they have elongated, sharply pointed shapes; one or two sepals commonly possess no extensions, and two or three sepals commonly possess very small extensions. The extensions are denticulate. The sepal length commonly is approximately 3 cm, and the sepal width commonly is approximately 1 cm. Their colour is medium green (Group 143B) on the upper surface and medium brown green (Group 138B) on the under surface.
Bloom:
Flowers have irregularly rounded shape when viewed from above. They are very full, cupped shaped, flattened at the upper part when viewed from the side, and flattened convex at the lower part when viewed from the side. The average diameter of the open flower is about 9 to 12 cm, and approximately 10 cm on average, with a standard deviation of 0.5 cm.
The flowers las on the plant about 6 days under normal environmental conditions, and approximately 4 days when cut and placed in a vase. The petals commonly detach cleanly without drying on the plant.
Petals:
Petals number is about 65 to 85, and an average number per flower is approximately 80.
Petal’s length is approximately 35 to 50 mm with an average length of 45 mm; the width is approximately 32 to 50 mm with an average width of 42 mm. Petals have orbicular shape, the undulation of the petal margins is weak, and the reflexing of the margins is very weak. The petal apex tends to be relatively flat, and the petal base tends to be flattened-convex in configuration.
The colour of the petals in the middle zone on the inner and on the outer surface is light blue pink (Group 62C). The colour of the petals on the marginal zone on the inner and on the outer surface is medium blue pink (Group 61D).
The petal spot at base is small in size, and commonly covers only approximately 3 to 5 percent of petal surface. The colour of the spot’s inner side and of the outer side is light yellow (Group 8C) with a marginal zone of orange-red (Group 32B).
Fragrance:
‘La Rose de Molinard’ exudes a very strong tea fragrance, with citrus-like notes, similar to that of grapefruit.
Reproductive parts:
Stamens number is approximately 130 on a flower and are somewhat regularly arranged.
Filaments are medium sized, not all possess an anther, and when the flower is partially open have dark yellow (Group 14A) colour.
Anthers are medium sized, all open at approximately the same time, and have dark yellow colour (Group 14A).

Hips in longitudinal section have funnel shape and are approximately 20 to 25 mm in diameter on average.
PLANT
The mature plant of ‘La Rose de Molinard’ which were pruned to a height of 20 to 30 cm in spring, produce floral stems having an average height of approximately 70 to 150 cm, and an average stem length of approximately 90 cm. The width of the mature 3 year-old plant is about 90 – 100 cm.

Parentage
ORIGIN OF THE VARIETY
The ‘Delgraros’ was created by artificial pollination carried out during 1998 in a greenhouse at Hyères, France, wherein two parents were crossed which previously had been studied in the hope that they would contribute the desired characteristics. The female parent (i.e., the seed parent) was the ‘Delge’ / ‘Centenaire de Lourdes’ variety by André Delbard-Chabert, before 1958. The male parent (i.e., the pollen parent) was the ‘Adharman’ / ‘Le Grand Huit’ variety by Michel Adam, 1993.
The seeds resulting from the above pollination were sown and small plants were obtained which were physically and biologically different from each other. Selective study resulted in the identification of a this new variety.
BACKGROUND OF THE VARIETY
SUMMARY OF THE VARIETY A new and distinct plant ‘Delgraros’ that exhibits the following combination of characteristics:
(a) from a physical point of view forms green mature wood, displays a bushy growth habit with glossy foliage, and forms attractive long-lasting very full pink-colored flowers that bear strong fragrance, and
(b) from a biological point of view forms vigorous vegetation, produces flowers in abundance on a substantially continuous basis, and exhibits good resistance to blackspot and powdery mildew;
The new variety well meets the needs of the horticultural industry and is particularly well suited for growing outdoors as attractive ornamentation.
COMPARISON WITH PARENTS
The new variety ‘Delgraros’ can be readily distinguished from its ancestors in view of the combination of characteristics described herein. For instance, the new variety can be readily distinguished from its ‘Delge’ / ‘Centenaire de Lourdes’ variety parent through an examination of blossoms and overall plant vigor. More specifically, the blossoms of the ‘Delgraros’ variety are larger and possess a greater number of petals than the ‘Delge’ / ‘Centenaire de Lourdes’ variety. Also, the ‘Delgraros’ variety displays more vigorous vegetation than the ‘Delge’ / ‘Centenaire de Lourdes’ variety.
Unlike the ‘Delgraros’ variety, the ‘Adharman’ variety forms dark red blossoms.
COMPARISON WITH THE CLOSEST COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE CULTIVAR
The ‘Delgraros’ variety of the present invention also can be readily distinguished from the ‘Delgramau’ / ‘La Rose du Petit Prince’ variety, which was the product of the same cross pollination. The blossoms of the ‘Delgramau’ / ‘La Rose du Petit Prince’ variety possess a lesser number of petals and are lilac in coloration rather than the pink coloration displayed by the present variety.
