Description

The Hybrid Moyesii, classified as Shrub rose, 'Nevada,' is truly a gem in the rose world, celebrated for its unique natural elegance. It blends the grace of wild roses with the robust beauty of modern shrubs. The semi-double, large blooms—up to 10 cm in diameter—start as ivory and quickly shift to a pure snow-white with delicate pearl-pink tones. Charming pink-apricot buds open into stunning saucer-shaped flowers with a cluster of long, golden stamens framed by large, silky petals. Arranged in small clusters on short stems, the flowers have a soft, sweet fragrance and excellent rain resistance, blooming in waves throughout the summer. At the peak of early and late summer, the bush is a breathtaking display of openwork white lace, with abundant flowers nearly obscuring the foliage.

The plant is proportional, vigorous, and reaches an impressive height and width of 2 to 4 meters. Its long, arching shoots, sparsely thorned, gracefully drape as the bush matures, adorned along their length with large white blooms. The dense, bright green foliage is typically disease-resistant, and the plant produces ornamental rose hips; however, deadheading encourages further blooming.

This resilient variety thrives even in poor soils and demonstrates high disease resistance. While generally hardy, blackspot may appear in humid climates toward the season’s end if preventative measures aren’t taken.

'Nevada' is highly winter-hardy, tolerating temperatures as low as -37 °C (USDA Zone 3b and above). Ideal for woodland settings or near water, it attracts bees and can be grown as a standalone specimen, in small groups, as a hedge, or even trained as a trailing rose.

This version adds readability, improves sentence flow, and clarifies the details while preserving the rose’s charm and qualities.
