Description
A wonderful sport of the equally famous Bourbon rose 'Zephirine Drouhin'. The color of the flowers is orange-pink aging to light pink. It has a moderately strong fragrance. The flowers are flat-shaped or flat to cupped, large, double flowers (17-25 petals). They appear mostly singly on flowering stems or in small clusters. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
A very energetic variety. It grows up to 3 m tall, has branches without thorns (or almost without). It typically reaches a height of about 185 - 275 cm, and a width of up to 185 cm. Suitable for climate zones USDA zone 5b - 10b.
A very beautiful and refined rose, but not particularly winter hardy. In climates similar to Ukraine (USDA zones 5b-6a), it requires winter protection. Without shelter, it suffers severe frost damage and takes considerable time to recover. It needs time and foliage to fully establish and display its beauty to the fullest extent.
The variety has rather weak resistance to diseases, often suffers from powdery mildew, needs preventive spraying with fungicides.
