Rose Manuel Canovas

Very vigorous and robust shrub rose. Medium sized buds upon opening reveal a high-centered white flower with yellow hues closer to the center. Shortly after the flower quickly becoming cupped shaped and pure white. There is a delightful, moderate and sweet fragrance with undertones of lily of the valley.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VARIETY
This rose bush is highly floriferous and illuminates the garden with its bouquets of white flowers until late autumn. The dark and healthy foliage provides a stunning backdrop for the profusion of slightly iridescent white flowers with yellow hues. Blooms in flushes throughout the season, starting from early summer, and until the frosts.

The medium sized buds have yellow green colour when the sepals start to divide. When half open the color of the bud is cream-yellow closer to the base fading to white closer to the edges. Sometimes the edges of the petals have pinkish pigmentation which fades to white as the petals start to unfurl.

The flowers are medium sized, about 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter on average. They are full, the number of petals is about 45 – 50. They are high-centered upon opening and cupped as the flower fully opens, the outer petals curl back. Flowers are born in small clusters, the number of flower buds is variable, most often varies between 6 to 15 buds.

Has quite vigorous and strong growth habit. Forms upright, compact, slightly rounded shrub. The height of the mature and well-established plant is about 110 – 150 cm (3.6” – 5’’), and the width is about 70 – 100 cm (2.3” – 3.3”).

The cascades of flowers are accompanied by a refreshing perfume that is both delicate and long-lasting, reminiscent of the first beautiful days of spring. It is truly a masterpiece in the garden!
