FLOWER
Exceptionally well flowering variety, forms abundance of flower buds throughout the season. Flowering continues until frosts, however timely deadheading is required for such prolonged flowering.
Flower bud:
The medium sized flower buds have dark red color when they start to open with very dark, almost black tip of the petals. As the bud continues to open the colour becomes entirely red.
The buds gathered in small clusters with 3 to 5 to 7 per stem.
Bloom:
Th flowers are medium sized, with average diameter of the open flower of about 6 to 8 cm. They are very double, cupped form the inner petals curl slightly inwards when the flower just starts to open. As the flower fully opens, it becomes flatter, fully opening the center, petals curl outwards slightly, exposing yellow-orange stamens.
The colour of the flowers is intense red and almost doesn’t change throughout the life of the flowers, only just before fading it becomes a bit paler.
Flowers live quite long on the plant, about 9-10 days, as a cut flower – not observed.
