Description

Flower buds are small, when first start to open cream-pink fading to cream as the petals starts to unfold.

The flowers are medium-sized, semi-double, cupped to flat flower form. They are pale creamy yellow when just open and occasionally tinged with pink, fading to white as the flowers mature. The golden yellow stamens look very decorative in contrast with its white petals.

There is a strong musk fragrance.

The flowers held in large clusters and produced very freely.

‘Lykkefund’ is a very vigorous variety with strong, bushy growth habit, growing up to 550 to 610cm (18' to 20') tall and up to 450 cm (15') wide. Can also be grown as a large shrub.

Main and lateral canes are almost thornless with dark, glossy foliage. The variety is very hardy, however in climate zones USDA 5 and colder require winter protection.

The variety is tolerant of poorer soils and shade. Suitable to be planted in groups in a woodland setting and for growing into trees.
