Rose Gorgeous

‘Gorgeous' - everything about this rose is in its name. It takes only one look at this rose to fall in love with her vibrant, colorful, very large flowers. Flowers continuously appear throughout the season until frosts in small clusters on strong, upright stems. It has good health, it is heat and rain resistant, therefore it will be perfect choice for a garden, but also provides perfect cut flowers.

Flower bud:
The flower bud is medium sized, form is short and globular.

Flower:
‘Gorgeous' / ‘Poulpmt009’ blooms with very large flowers, the average diameter under normal conditions varies of about 10 and 15 cm when the flower is fully open.

The flower form is high-centered when the flower starts to open. As the flower develops form becomes more complicated forming a shallow cup with very curly petals in the center of the flower. The outer petals gracefully curl outward. Flowers are very double, with normally over 25 petals on the flower.

As a cut flower flowers last for quite long time, about 18 days. On the plant the flowers last approximately 10 – 14 days under normal conditions.

Color:
The colour of the flowers is very gorgeous and complicated, and changes at each stage of the flower’s life.

Upon opening petals have mostly bright pink colouring, they are orange-apricot at the base, changing through light yellow orange to pink-cream to bright pink at the edges. The reverse of the flower has larger portion of orange yellow and lighter tonality of edges.

After opening petals the general tonality of the petals becomes more pink to light pink with darker edges.

General tonality of the open flower is pink with darker pink edges and hues of yellow, cream and orange.

Petals.
Petals have smooth and dense texture, sustain heat and rain quite well.

Petals fall cleanly from the plant.

PLANT
This rose variety has dense, bushy, slightly outwardly growth character. After two growing seasons when grown as a budded field grown plant on Rosa multiflora understock the average height of the plant itself is 60 - 100 cm and the average width is 50 cm.

Plant foliage
Normal number of leaflets on normal leaves in middle of the stem - 5 leaflets, they are large and semi-glossy.

Disease resistance
The variety has above average resistance to mildew, black spot and botrytis under normal growing conditions.
