Description
Marvelous cluster flowered Hybrid Tea rose with large and very bright yellow-salmon flowers with carmine red edges and very ruffled petals. Forms very compact and upright plant with abundant semi-glossy dark green foliage with bronze shades.
DESCRIPTION OF THE VARIETY
The flowers are large, about 12 – 15 cm (6") in diameter. They are very double, there are usually about 52 – 58 petals on the flower under normal growing conditions. The flowers upon opening have high-centered shape, typical for classical Hybrid Teas. As the flower fully opens the shape becomes more ruffled. The edges of the petals are very ruffled and notched.
The flowers are born on a plant singly or in small clusters of irregular shape, about 3 – 4 together. Has very good repeat flowering, blooms in flushes, from summer and until frosts.
The flowers have very bright yellow-salmon flowers with carmine red edges. As the flower ages the colour becomes lighter, the center becomes more salmon pink with cream shades and the edges become medium salmon pink.
The rose has moderately vigorous growth habit. Forms very compact and upright bush. The mature and well-established plant has a height of about 100 to 120cm (39" to 47") and the width of about 50 – 60 cm (19” to 24”).
The quantity of foliage is abundant, the normal mid-stem leaves have 5 leaflets. The mature leaves have dark green colour with strong bronze shades. The leaves are large, semi-glossy and lathery. The edges are serrated, the type of serration is single and large.
The variety ‘Frénésie’ has very good disease resistance to all main rose pathogens. Pest resistance – has not been tested yet.
The variety is recommended for growing in a garden in climate zones similar to USDA 6 and warmer.
