Description

The rose is one of the most popular roses of the David Austin English Rose collection ever. Produces fantastic cup-shaped rosette, very double flowers with e petals count 26 to 40 under normal conditions. The outer petals have pale pink colour which fades almost to white and inner petals are blush pink. Large, 10 – 12 cm (4” to 5”) on average, flowers gathered in clusters of 3-7 blooms on strong stems.

Flowers has wonderfully strong fragrance, mix of old rose with myrrh scent and overtones of fruit, honey and carnation.

It is an excellent repeat bloomer and will flower repeatedly until the frosts.

Forms large upright, bushy plant with long, lax stems and the flowers fall apart easily. Leaves are large, dark green and semi-glossy. The plant does best in cool climates and has quite a few thorns.

Parentage

Austin developed 'Heritage' using a 'Unnamed Seedling' and pollen from the unnamed rose which is a cross of 'Iceberg' and 'Wife of Bath'. It was introduced into the UK by David Austin Roses Limited (UK) in 1984.
