Description

The stunningly, very bright and unusually purple-pink coloured, large flowers of ‘Anuschka’, coupled with its exceptionally healthy and glossy foliage, left a lasting impression on every member of the judging panel in the Baden-Baden rose trials. As a result, Anuschka was honored as the reigning beauty among the top rose varieties and received the prestigious Golden Rose of Baden-Baden in 2019.

FLOWER
The flowering is recurrent, in flushes, from summer until frosts.

Flower bud:
The flower buds are large, rounded with pointed top. When the sepals starts to open the bud colour is dark purple red. When half open the colour becomes much lighter, dark purple pink.

Bloom:
The flowers of ‘Anusсhka’ variety are large, the average open diameter is about 8 to 10 cm (about 3 to 4 inches). They are very full, having cupped shape and the inner petals curled up in high-centered manner. The shape persists until the end.

The colour of the flower when just open is deep purple pink. As the flower ages the colour becomes lighter, light pink with purple and lavender shades.

Fragrance:
The fragrance of ‘Anusсhka’ is strong with sweet, fruity character.

PLANT
The variety has vigorous, upright and bushy growth habit. The mature and well established plant reaches the height of about 80 to 100 cm and the diameter of 50 to 70 cm.

The variety has universal landscaping potential and can be used planted in small groups, large beds, mixed rose beds, scent gardens, HT beds, romantic gardens mixed with perennials. It is also makes a perfect cut flower.

Foliage:
The foliage is very dense, dark green and glossy. The number of leaflets on the average stem is 5.

Disease resistance:

The variety has good resistance to black spot. The resistance to mildew, botrytis and rust is very good. Pest resistance – not tested.

The variety has moderate winter hardiness, suitable for growing without winter protection in USDA zones 6 and warmer.
