Description
A charming old Climbing rose variety with large (8-10 cm) full (26-40 petals) flowers that have a wonderful sweet Tea aroma. The color of the flowers varies from light pink cream to light apricot with beautiful iridescence of darker shades in the center. The shape of the flowers is deeply cupped, globular densely packed with wavy petals. Blooms start from long ovoid buds with long glandular sepals. Flowers are born mostly singly or gathered in small clusters.
Forms a tall (200 - 300 cm) and wide (100 - 200 cm) plants, grows vigorously, the branches are smooth, almost without prickles. It has semi-glossy, light green, wavy or ruffled leaves, normally there are 3 to 5 leaflets on the normal leaves.
Flowers are suitable for cooking: they are perfect for making jams, liqueurs.
Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Can be trained as a climber.
Has moderate disease resistance to black spot and powdery mildew, requires preventive spraying with fungicides.
Winter hardy in climates similar to zones USDA Zone 6 and warmer; requires winter protection in warmer climates.

Triploid rose. This rose variety originated by Adam by crossing the rose ‘Hume's Blush Tea-scented China’ of unknown origin with Bourbon rose ‘Rose Edouard’.

The origin of this variety is shrouded in mystery, but it is believed to be the first Tea rose ever bred. As for its breeder, all we know is that his name was Adam, and he was a gardener from the village of Vitry and Reims in northern France. \ Взагалі походження ціього сорту вкрито таємницею, але ввжається що цей сорт став був першою виведеною Чайною розою.
